Meet Our Experienced Staff

Steven G. Tolber, M.D.

Dr. Tolber received his medical degree at Emory University in Atlanta in 1970. He took his Allergy and Immunology training at the University of California at San Francisco from 1975–1977. He is certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.

In addition to asthma and hay fever, allergists frequently diagnose and treat other problems such as hives, eczema, insect sting allergy, immune deficiency, as well as food and drug allergies. Dr. Tolber has been voted “Top Doc” by his peers and honored in Albuquerque, The Magazine on multiple occasions.

Bruce H. Feldman, M.D.

Dr. Feldman received his medical degree at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1965. He took his Internal Medicine training at the University of California, Los Angeles and his Allergy and Clinical Immunology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine and the Long Beach VA Hospital. He is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Feldman is a member of The American College of Physicians, The American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Clinical Immunology, The New Mexico Allergy Society, The New Mexico Medical Society, and the Greater Albuquerque Medical Association. He is director of the University of New Mexico Student Health Service Allergy Clinic and has taught Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the UNM Medical School for over 25 years. He has practiced medicine in Albuquerque since 1971.

Teresa McCord Jenkins, CANP

Teresa graduated from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky with her bachelor’s in nursing in 1990. She received her master’s in nursing from Emory University in Atlanta in 1995. Teresa has worked as a nurse practitioner in Albuquerque since 1996 and with Dr. Tolber since 1998. She is married and has two sons.

Paul Tapia, PA

Paul grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in biology in 2002. Upon completion of his Air Force active duty commitment as a captain he returned to Albuquerque to study medicine. In 2010, he graduated from the University of St. Francis with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies and joined the BreatheAmerica team as a Provider Associate. Paul is happily married and enjoys spending his free time long-distance running, cooking and traveling with his wife.

Amber L. West, PA

Amber is a native New Mexican who was born in Santa Fe and graduated from Cibola High School in Albuquerque, NM. She later graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor of science in 2001 in psychology and minored in pre-medical studies. She then received a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of St. Francis in 2005. Amber has been practicing with Dr. Bruce Feldman since 2005 and most recently, joins the BreatheASAP team as a Provider Associate. Amber lives in Albuquerque with her husband, step-son and daughter and enjoy traveling the southwest whenever possible.
